Why did the Punjabi throw his shoe at the minister?

WATCH!

And look how he sits back and relaxes after that! Placing his arm, calmly on the arm rest. This naughty Punjabi. He'd planned this all along I say. His shoe didn’t seem to be on that tight even.

In whatever sense, that guy is a disgrace to the profession of Journalism.

Im not so sure about that.
Certainly not acceptable as a norm.

But in this case, we're talking about more than 25 years. And he was closest, in terms of distance and access, to the Govt.

I dunno. Im not decided abut this, yet.

I fail to see what the point was. It was funny the way he threw and kept saying "I protest...I protest".
Arey, If you're going to go that far for what you believe in, you might as well take a good shot and satisfy yourself fully. -.-

His aim was not to create a controversy, or hurt the minister. It was to show protest, as a citizen of India, not as a journalist, and to bring some attention to the cause, not to himself.
At least this is what I have deduced.

The guy threw the shoe out of frustration. It makes me wonder that when will the politicians learn? Yes, if he had wanted he could have hurt the minister, but it is obvious he did not want to. Such incidents show the frustration that exists among the common people of India. The bad turn out in the polls clearly shows that India is heading towards a democratic failure.

@ ISB
True. I prefer to look at this act of shoe throwing, in context.
And yes, the polls have been very disappointing so far.
